Dear HKMAAC Members,

In order to reflect the latest professional standards and provide updated guidelines for training and assessments in all academic mediation training programmes, (including but not limited to the 100 hours mediation training programmes jointly organized with CityU SCOPE, and the regular 40 hours Professional Mediation Training programme of Hong Kong Mediation and Arbitration Centre (“HKMAAC”), we are going to organize a 3-hour workshop (“the workshop”) so as to facilitate our trainers, assessors, accredited mediators who are interested to be the Teaching team members and Coaches (“the Training Team") of HKMAAC to understand the assessment criteria for 2018.

In addition, this workshop also serves as CPD seminar for members to obtain CPD points. Details are as follow:-

-          The latest assessment criteria on the Mediator Qualifying Examination ("MQE") of HKMAAC;

-          The latest assessment standard of MQE;

-          Roles and responsibilities of the Training Team;

-          How to provide accurate written feedback; and

-          Other relevant and administration issues

1.      The completion of this workshop is one of the PRE-REQUISITES and compulsory requirements for any HKMAAC Accredited Mediator to become a member of the Training Team.

2.      The appointment of members of the Training Team in any recognized programmes will be based on mediator’s qualifications and experience and on sole discretion of HKMAAC.

3.      Participant must not be absent from the workshop for more than 15 minutes so as to fulfill the requirement to become member of the Training Team of HKMAAC and to obtain the CPD points.

4.      A teaching allowance and CPD points shall be granted to all members of the Training Team should they be appointed and complete the assigned training role in the future training activities (non- pro bono) of HKMAAC.

5.      HKMAAC reserves the right to accept/reject the application.
