In order to maintain high GDP growth, the Vietnam government has strengthened the implementation of eight free trade agreements and has made efforts to negotiate another six high-quality FTAs, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) with the United States and 11 member countries and the FTA with the European Union (EU) and its member states.   Vietnam needs to upgrade its logistics and transport sector, including air, land, road, river and marine transport infrastructures, and the logistics services and systems to facilitate future increases in imports and exports.
