Vietnam relies heavily on fabric and material imports
Vietnam’s textile and garment export grow sharply recently, its’ garment and textiles export reached USD 11.75 billion in first six months of 2017, an increase of 48% compare with the same period in 2016. Unfortunately, the country relies heavily on imports of fabric, yarn, cotton and other materials from different countries/regions, and this event generates significant business opportunities for textile and garment manufacturers not only in Vietnam but around the world.
North Vietnam & Hanoi: The fastest growing production region in Vietnam
Because of the government’s favorable policies, in addition to lower wages and production costs in the North when compared to Hochiminh City and surroundings, many local and international companies have recently moved their textile and garment production factories to the North and Hanoi.
