Hanoi: North Vietnam’s capital and new industrial centre
Vietnam encourages many local and international textile and garment companies to establish a new production base in Hanoi and North Vietnam. Hanoi and North Vietnam offer lower wages and production costs, as well as more favourable government policies and vacant land than Ho Chi Minh City and South Vietnam.
Heavy fabric and material import demand in Vietnam
Vietnam’s textile and garment exports are expected to yield USD 31 billion in 2016. Unfortunately, due to lack of expertise and labour, Vietnam still relies heavily on imported fabric, yarn, cotton, and other materials from other countries/regions.
The response to HANOITEX 2016 has been positive. Although the organizers have already expanded the show by building an additional exhibition hall to accommodate more exhibitors, most of the spaces are already sold / reserved in both the main hall and the temporary hall. Some exhibitors are still waiting for space allocation.
