Vietnam, an alternative to the US–China trade war –The United States recently announced the increase of import tariffs on Chinese product, which may cover the garment. Many producers are already expanding their textile and garment production to Vietnam.
Vietnam relies heavily on fabric and garment accessories import - Vietnam’s textile & garment export will reach USD 34.5 billion in 2018. (10% increase from 2017). It is expected that Vietnam’s garment and textile industry will grow at least 10% annually until 2035. Since Vietnam imported USD 15.48 billion of fabric and accessories for garment production in 2017, almost half of its garment export value, a good opportunity has created for all suppliers around the world.
The last SaigonFabric (concurrent with the SaigonTex 2018) attracted over 885 exhibitors from 27 countries / regions. Other than the two main exhibition halls, the expos also dominated an additional two lobbies and seven temporary halls.
