Vietnam is heavily rely on fabric and material import
The Vietnam textile and garment industry expects to raise its textile and garment production by 20%, to increase their export value by US$4 billion to $28.3 billion in 2015. Although its textile & garment industry is blooming, Vietnam still relies heavily on the imported fabric, yarn and cotton and other materials from overseas, such as China, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, US, Korea and Singapore.
To increase its textile & garment exports, Vietnam has signed many Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) in recent years with different countries. In addition, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement will be signed soon.
This event will be held concurrently with the famous expo, "Saigontex". The last Saigontex was being held on 9-12 April, 2015, was the biggest event in the Vietnam's textile & garment industry since the 1990s. The event attracted 656 exhibitors from 22 countries/regions and over 15,000 visitors attended.
