Philippine – an alternative to US - China trade conflicts
The United States may impose higher import tariffs on Chinese products. Their order will shift to other Asian countries. Philippine needs to import more leather machinery, materials and accessories to cope with the increasing orders in the near future.

Growing Leather Industry
According to Tradeline Philippines, the export volume of Leather materials in 2016 has reached USD135,442,534, increased 56% compared to last year. The labor force in leather industry has increased over 10 times in recent years due to the import tax exemption to USA and EU via Generalised Scheme of Preferences GSP and GSP+. Many international branded leather goods are manufactured in Philippines due to their reputable workmanship.

This expo will be held concurrently with Philippine Garment Industry & Fabric Expo. Both expos are organized by CP Exhibition Ltd, who has been organizing the biggest series of textile, garment machineries and fabrics exhibition, in Vietnam since 1990s.

根据Tradeline Philippines的数据，2016年菲律宾皮革出口量达到135,442,534美元，同比增长56％。受益于美国及欧盟的普惠制（GSP和GSP +）的关税免除机制，菲律宾皮革行业的劳动力近年来增长了10倍以上。菲律宾皮革制造业急需入口大量高品质的皮革制革、合成皮革和皮革制品相关机械机械。

展会将与菲律宾制衣工业及布料展览会同期举办。主办单位香港华进(CP）具有丰富海外展会组织经验，自20世纪90年代以来举办越南最大最具影响力的纺织、成衣机械及面料展, 迄今已经成功举办30届。
